What is an Oeko-Tex certification?

Where stated in the product description, our garments are made from fabrics which hold an OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. The relevant tests are conducted and the certificates issued by independent OEKO-TEX® test institutes.
The certification means that the fabrics we use have been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health. Currently 82% of our products are made from OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics.

What is a GRS certification?

GRS stands for Global Recycled Standard.
It is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content. The shared goal of the standards is to increase the use of recycled materials. The GRS includes additional criteria for social and environmental processing requirements and chemical restrictions.
By using traceable fabrics made from PET bottles, we’re not just having an impact on limiting polyester ending up in landfill, but it has also been shown that the production of recycled polyester requires far fewer resources than that of new fibres and so reduces our dependency on fossil fuels, requires less energy, and produces less carbon emission.

Do you offer seasonal collections?

No. Our minimalist approach focuses on the essentials, the key pieces that every pregnant woman and mother needs. Our designs are versatile and timeless, transcending seasons and providing comfort year-round.

Is bamboo a sustainable fabric?

Now, that’s a tricky one.
The benefits of using bamboo are well known: it needs only rainwater (no excessive watering like cotton) to grow, requires very little fertilization, renewable meaning that once harvested it self-regenerates from its own roots, no need to replant it, and if produced the right way bamboo garments biodegrade naturally.
Unfortunately regular bamboo viscose (most common bamboo fabric) is produced through a highly intensive chemical process and can pose a risk to human health.
All of our bamboo fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, which ensures through excessive testing that they’re free of harmful substances for human health.
That means no nasty chemicals on our sensitive skins while keeping all the amazing qualities of bamboo: it’s breathable, super stretchy and buttery soft, durable and absorbs moisture.
It is not an organic fibre and therefore not a perfect solution, but we believe that combined with our very conscious waste reduction approach and ethical production methods, our garments made from this fabric are sustainable.

What does made to order mean? Is it the same as made to measure?

No. We don't custom make garments to individual measurements like tailors do. Made to order means that we start manufacturing your garments after you place the order in a bid to reduce waste and stop overproduction.

How long do I have to wait for my order?

In-stock items (core range) will be dispatched within 24 hours.
For made-to-order pieces manufacturing usually takes 2-4 weeks plus shipping depending on a number of factors. We understand that you’d like to receive your order as soon as possible but please be mindful (and proud) that you're now part of the very important slow fashion movement.

Are all your products really made locally in Melbourne?

Yes, all of them. We're very proudly supporting the local fashion industry and the underrated manufacturing sector.

I'm worried about microfibre shedding when washing your jackets made from recycled polyester. Any tips on limiting this?

Please read this comprehensive article on microfibre pollution and tips for reducing shedding.

Based on your size chart I'm between sizes. What should I do?

Have a think about how you prefer your clothes to fit. For a slightly relaxed fit please order the bigger size (recommended for maximum comfort) and for a tighter look please go down a size.

Would your size small fit me if I was a small before getting pregnant?

Yes. We adjusted the fit and the standard sizing to allow for the changes your  body is going through during pregnancy and after. Please refer to the size chart for measurements.

Can I wear your styles postpartum?

Absolutely! We offer considered designs with the long journey of motherhood in mind. This doesn't just include the pregnancy but the important stages afterwards: the recovery, breastfeeding, pumping and most-importantly being a busy mum.

All orders are shipped in HeapsGood Ecomailers - plant-based, compostable bags, and wrapped in tissue paper. What’s better, postage is carbon-neutral through Australia Post.
